Warren Buffett = One Expensive Lunch

Everyone knows Mohnish Pabrai paid 650K to have lunch with Warren Buffett. Now, a Chinese fund manager has paid $2.1 million!
Now the interesting part is the bidding history. Someone with the handle of ” u***d” was the highest bidder in the last hour of bidding at $800,000. “u***d” ( who I believe is Warren buffett raising the price, j/k)  must have really want this lunch as he kept on raising the bid to $2,110,000.00. The then winner came in at last second and placed the winning bid of $2,110,100.00. Now, for someone to almost triple the price of an already expensive lunch is either a) crazy b) wants some really expensive investing advice or c) is crazy. The winning bidder’s reason will be made public, but I am more interested in “u***d” reasons for bidding and what does his handle mean.

Any guesses? ugged?

  1. The *** in u***d are letters eBay has hidden so as to protect the identity of the bidder.
